At Grow Smart Irrigation we are dedicated to providing the most water efficient and sustainable irrigation methods.
We take pride in the work we do to help protect one of the most important natural resources and we believe irrigation can be much more efficient than manually watering, when implemented properly.
Our Team
At Grow Smart Irrigation Ltd, we are owner operated, which means we are driven by results and our customers are our number one priority.
I'm Rob Willis, the Director, installer, and everything in between. My wife, Roxy, occasionally helps behind the scenes and our little dog Baxter likes to think he's the most important member of the team.

I've been working in the irrigation industry since 2005, starting as an apprentice and working my way up to become an irrigation system designer and manager at leading irrigation companies in the Lower North Island.
​
During my career, I've worked on a wide variety of irrigation projects with outstanding results. These projects span the country and include international sportsgrounds and stadiums, high-profile government buildings, council sports fields and gardens, as well as numerous residential and commercial properties.

In 2024, I took on the challenge of establishing my own irrigation company. I am passionate about delivering a high quality service and seeing the difference that irrigation can make for my customers.
​
While I tend to be humble about my abilities, there's not much I cant fix or figure out and I have a keen eye for detail. Outside of work my interests in motor racing, golf, woodworking, and computers keep me busy, provided the dog get his walk first.

In 2022, I completed my certificate in sports turf management, becoming a fully qualified greenkeeper.
Over the past 20 years, I've acquired a diverse set of skills in CAD, engineering, operating diggers, trucks, and tractors, building, and much more.
